The idea underlying the project is simplicity and convenience. Heerup Museum is a calm and beautiful exhibition space with an exquisite floor made of end grain wood tiles.
To accommodate these qualities the display cases are meant to be clean rhythmic appearances that befits the simplicity of the room while also granting the displayed objects importance and weight through the careful craftsmanship and playful details of the displays.

The main frame consist of two chambers that can be flipped for different exhibitions. One that is 50 mm deep designed to contain objects and another side that is 3 mm deep for drawings and sketches.

The display cases consists of 5 parts each that can be disassembled and flat-packed for storage; 2 sides of legs, 1 stabilizing apron, 1 frame and 1 piece of UV protective glass.

The Museum Display are made of birch plywood where the bulk is reused wood that has been sourced in carpenter shops around Copenhagen. The wood has been cut on a CNC, assembled by hand and finally coated in oil and wax.
